Regional Summit on Opioid Use Disorder and Trauma Informed Care

Greater Columbia ACH is collaborating with Pacific Northwest University (PNWU) to host a regional summit on Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Trauma Informed Care on June 19 – 21, 2019 in Yakima, Washington. The Summit will include five keynote speakers and four tracks to choose from; track one - Strategies for Managing Patients with OUD, track two - Patient Behind the OUD & Addressing the Stigma, track three - Trauma Informed Care & Opioids, and track four - Innovative Ways to Manage Patients with OUD. 

Some of the Keynote Speakers are Dr. Charissa Fontinos, deputy chief medical officer for the Washington State Healthcare Authority, Dr. Edward Bilsky, Ph.D. provost and chief academic officer, professor of biomedical sciences at PNWU, Dr. Steven P. Stanos, DO, medical director of Swedish Health System Pain Medicine and Services in Seattle, Washington, and Dr. Vincent J. Felitti, MD will talk on “The Origins of Addiction:  Evidence from the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study.”

PNWU is developing a website and will manage reservations for attendees. Registration for the Summit will be limited to 350 attendees.
