GCACH Awarded Community Partner of the Year by Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce!

Greater Columbia Accountable Community of Health (GCACH) knows that in order to solve complex problems, it requires partnership and collective action to make a difference. That is why we’re honored to be awarded the Partner of the Year from the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (TCHCC)! Shared by Martin Valadez of TCHCC, “the Partner of the Year Award is given to an organization that works with and helps the chamber achieve some of the most important goals of the year. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, last year the TCHCC worked hard to increase vaccination rates and help our community become healthy so that our business owners could open up and get back to work as soon as possible.”

To do this, the TCHCC put on popup vaccine clinics just about every weekend since August 2021. They took place outside of the SuperMex El Pueblo market, as well as a couple other locations outside of Benton and Franklin counties including Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant and Adams counties. Our very own Executive Director, Sharon Brown, received her booster shot at one of the events at SuperMex.

According to the TCHCC, our team at GCACH helped in several ways:

  • Helped spread the word about our clinics
  • Provided financial support and $50 gift cards to provide as incentive
  • Worked with them to organize clinics at a church in Pasco
  • Shared with others about what the chamber is doing
  • Connected them with another potential funder

Thanks, TCHCC, for this incredible award!
